Gracie Update

I went in for a check up yesterday and everything is still the same no dilatation, so that is good.
They measured Gracie and she measured around 6.2 pounds and everything looked great they said she was a good size. But we would like to let her grow a little more. So my C-section is scheduled for Aug 11 if I can keep her in till then. So we are on the countdown and cant wait to see her. I get checked 2 times a week and at anytime if I have dilated they will go ahead and do the section. I am having contractions on a daily basis but at this point they are not changing anything. So I will continue to Bed rest ..

Vacation and Gracie Update

We went on a little vacation to Nashville this week and we had a great time. Matt had some training Monday and Tuesday so we spent time as a family in the evening those days. Then Wednesday we went to a State Park outside of Nashville to stay for a couple days. During our trip we went to the Zoo, Aquarium Restaurant, Shopping at the Opry Malls, Swimming numerous times, and the boys got to go on their first fishing trip.Jeremiah was the only one who caught a fish, but Jonathan just liked feeding them. During our trip the boys are learning to swim and are doing great with just water wings, we were so surprised how well they are doing. We had a great time as a family and really enjoyed the get away. I am working on getting all the pics from the trip up.

I have been having quite a bit of contractions so I went in this morning to get checked and I am 2 cm and 50 % effaced. I am 35 weeks and 2 days today. They gave me a shot to stop contractions and put me on bed rest. So hopefully these 2 combined will put a stop to the contractions and I can carry her a little longer. But we are so thankful for the amount of uncomplicated pregnancy that the Lord has blessed us with this time. We will keep you updated.

BIg Boy Beds, Happy 4th !

We finally made the switch to toddler beds and they LOVE them and are doing Great ! It has been about 2 weeks and no one has got up when they are not supposed to and they sleep wonderful in them. They like them during the day to sit and read on. We made the rule that no toys are allowed on the beds that way they don't get in the habit of playing with toys during sleeping times and they have done great with that as well. Guess I should not have put this transition off so long.

We hope you had a wonderful 4th. We just spent the day working around here. And then went to the park in town after supper for fireworks. They were a little scared at first but then they loved them after the first few. Jonathan said they look like snow. They had a blast at at the park watching.

Gracie Update

I am sorry I am slacking with the updates, but I am down to every 2 weeks with check ups. Time is flying by she will be here in 6 weeks !! I cant believe it is almost over. I went to the doc last week and everything is looking good. I had been cramping a ton so I ask about that and she checked me and Gracie has already decided to drop so she is very low and that is why I cramping. But no dilation yet so we are thankful for that. I am feeling good with the exception of the cramps and pelvic pain. But she did not for see any real problems and it looks as though she will wait till time to be delivered. I will keep you updated ..
